What to expect from buccal facial massage.
Buccal means cheek. In a buccal facial, gloved intraoral work is paired with massage on the outside of the face. At Ritual, this is slow, attentive work shaped around your comfort, with room to pause, adjust pressure or choose external work only.
A session begins with a conversation about your goals, skin and relevant treatment history. The focus may be jaw tightness, facial ease, or the sensory experience of skilled touch. No outcome is promised; your response is individual.
Jaw symptoms deserve appropriate assessment. TMJ names the jaw joint; TMD refers to a group of disorders involving the joint and related muscles. A facial is not a substitute for dental or medical care.
Our Gua Sha + Lymphatic Facial pairs smooth tool work with gentle manual touch and nourishing skincare. It is an invitation to slow down, rather than chase a dramatic before-and-after.
You do not have to tolerate forceful pressure for your appointment to feel worthwhile. Share sensitivity, recent procedures or areas you would like avoided. Candice will adapt the experience or explain when it is better to wait.
Any refreshed or less puffy appearance can vary and may be temporary. We do not promise permanent reshaping, detoxification or treatment of lymphatic disease.
A thoughtful routine does not need to be complicated. Begin with gentle cleansing, moisturizing and sun protection. Adding too many active products at once can leave skin irritated, making it harder to know what is helping.
At your facial, tell Candice what you use at home and how your skin has been feeling. Product choices and exfoliation can be adapted to your skin’s current needs.
Persistent irritation or a changing skin concern belongs with a board-certified dermatologist. Good facial care works alongside appropriate medical care.
